I was curious to know what saltwater species do you guys fish for? And how often do you fish the ocean/bays?

I like Halibut, launching from Berkeley Marina, and Sturgeon, from Alviso.

I only get out as often as my buddy with a saltwater boat goes, which is about every 3 months

Wow...those are some great looking halibut. What do people typically use for bait when fishing for halibut?

preferably live sardines or mackerel, but dead stuff works too

Nice fish SamO! I fish for just about all saltwater game fish such as tuna, salmon, white sea bass, etc, but halibut is one of my favorites. I love the way they bite!
