I heard spring is no longer very good. I never fished there, but always wanted to take the toon there. Probably never going to now that I got a boat and love the frickin delta!

If you really want to get into some big fish you gotta do your homework and spend lots of time on the water, cause not many people are gonna give stuff up over the internet. Think small lakes [green]

I've spent many hours just trolling old fishing forums for info. There used to be a few "trophy only" fishing forums before I fished down here in CA. I heard stuff started getting crazy (people gettin pissed...yada, yada.), then they shut down.

miguel, just keep doing what you are doing. If you do you will stick a good one. Try changing up your retrieves or the way you are fishing it, maybe even be more stealth. Try standing 20 ft from the bank so you don't scare any biggies up shallow. ;)

Don pedro has some toads but you got to put the time in. Same with Mclure, New Melones. damn basically all the lakes have them. best option is Coyote and I was going to PM you another, but what the hell. Try out Eastman lake, east of Chowchilla, it has some toads, the water level is way down right now, but with the current snow up above it the lake will get water this spring and be ready again. I know you try LBC already, that another place for biggin. With out a boat, I would stick to Yote.
