Try using a small bobber attach some lighter line too a fly , drag the fly just about wwere the wake from the bobber dissapears , works like a charm

Can not go wrong with a half worm inflated with a power egg (Make sure it floats, no float. no fish).. Rig with a 2.5 foot leader with a sliding weight or just take a Carolina rig add small hook and 8-10lb test. Caught tons of big trout on that rig..

Other main thing you should focus on, is how many trout are in the lakes you fish.. Del Valle or Shadow cliffs always stock the larger trout. Can catch many 5-8lb trout out of these lake.. All else fails use a larger bait, most of the big trout 7-9lbs I have caught have been while I was bass fishing..

Set'Em Good
