 Stranded on a desert island.
If you were stranded on a desert island & could only have one lure what would it be?
I'd have to go with a Sabiki!

Re: Stranded on a desert island.
A smoke and pepper grub, I've caught more fish on these things than anything else combined. They can look like so many different food items; a small baitfish, a crawfish, or a worm. Those curly tails almost resemble a spinnerbait blade when falling, makes for a lot of action on "the drop." Just throw it out and watch your line run away!

Re: Stranded on a desert island.
You guys are fools. Deserted islands are out in the ocean. You want lures that work well in the marine environment.
I would go with a Shimano Waxwing.

Re: Stranded on a desert island.
i think they just meant theyre top favorite lure, I dont think they realize that they had to have one for a saltwater use only

Re: Stranded on a desert island.
.Well let's say there just happens to be a large fresh water lake on this Island. (So it's not a desert island but whatever ) I say Sabiki because in the few years I've been fishing hard I've landed legal lings, most of the rock cod species around here, sanddabs, squid, sardines, anchovies, mackerel, and a WSB! (It was about 2" long but a WSB) I'm curious as to how a sabiki would work on pan fish, though illegal because of the multiple hooks
