 SF Bay Striper
Caught this one Memorial Day evening at a SF Bay pier at the start of the incoming. Put up a good fight on my light duty bass rod. Taped out at 34". After catching and seeing numerous bass in the 16-20" range over the last couple of weeks, I was glad to come across a bigger fish. The fish was released to see another day.
Rod: G. Loomis MBR 782C IMX 6'6 Medium Reel: Daiwa Zillion Type R 7.3:1 Line: 12 lb. Toray Solaroam Bass Hi Class Fluorocarbon Rig: Slip Float Bait: Live anchovy

 Re: SF Bay Striper
quick question, when fishing a pier, how would you hoist a large striper like that up from the water?

 Re: SF Bay Striper
We use a dip net or crab net.
