San Jose Bass Is Being Updated
Hello everyone:
This website was in definite need of a "mood" overhaul. Quite frankly, this site had become somewhat depressing as of late, but I sincerely hope to change that. I'm not sure where everything went wrong, but I think we all can agree that it's primarily due to the lack of fishing going on in our local waters. This while "mussel invasion" has caused havoc in our area, and I even contemplated shutting this site down.
But today, my brother and I got to talking. And he has some good ideas, and I have some good ideas, and together maybe we can resurrect this thing from the dead. I know I've been EXTREMELY busy with work, and I know Murf has been busy raising a newborn, but I'm please to announce that I've made this site a priority.
First off, for those of you still posting here - YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME!!!! I would read posts from time to time and it was nice of you guys to continue to "carry" the site. We've always had a good thing here, and there's really no reason to just let it go.
Second, in the next week I plan on adding some video. Let's face it, videos are cool. I can sit on my Mac and watch cool fishing videos all day, and I'm sure you all feel the same way. My request to you guys is - If you have a boat, and are going fishing, please let me know. I'd like to tag along and get some cool fishing footage. Video editing is truly a passion of mine, and I think we could make something cool.
Lastly, here is what I need from you folks. Let's all work together to make this site work. Post your experiences, share your stories, send in your photos (
photos@sanjosebass.com), and whatever else you may find useful.
I've consolidated the forums into four sections:
Freshwater
Saltwater
The Open Forum
San Jose Bass Classifieds
And I did this for several reasons. Basically, there was way too many forums. Also, with our local lake debacle, I didn't want the specific lake sites to sit dormant while they close access. Also, we don't have a ton of members posting, and the newer sleekish forum should be more inviting to others.
Anyhow, I hope you all have enjoyed the site up until now.... Now it's just a matter of changing the landscape a little.
So my friends, welcome to the newest version of SJB.
Enjoy.
Tight lines.
