Salmon on the Rocks 8/6/11

 Salmon on the Rocks 8/6/11 Plugged on the rocks in SF Bay for chinook salmon. Threw 1/2 oz. spinners in Chartreuse / Silver. Fish hit about 40 yards out. I was reeling slow and steady, and all of a sudden I felt like I was stuck and my rod was bent to one side. Set the hook, and after the first run, I knew that I had a nice fish. I fed her plenty of line and played the fish carefully, making sure she didn't jump. About 10 minutes later, I landed a nice 16 lb. female king salmon. First salmon from shore for me this year.

Line: 12 lb. Toray Hi-Class Solaroam Bass Fluorocarbon
Lure: Custom Made Pen-Tac Spinner
