Never fished in the ocean and was heading out to manresa beach today with the fam. Well i always have my bass gear with me and was wondering what works out there from the shore.. Was wondering if the spooks work out there or not. THANKS!

Hey CRS, I'm sure my reply is a little late and you're probably home by now. I hope this helps for the next outing. You bass gear is perfect for Manresa as is the spook. The striped bass are still around and will hit the spook. You can always bring a pole set up with a carolina rig and a #2 baitholder hook with a 1.5" - 2 inch grub for surf perch.
Just make sure to never dunk your reels in the saltwater and always rinse you gear off with fresh water when you get home.

Thanks glenn! ya had to hit up coyote today. got a couple of SPRO bucktail jigs. Probably going to hit up some surf fishing this weekend. I want me a striper!
