Hey all, so I had a cpl hours to pass so I grabbed my expandable rod from the truck and hit the water.

It was cold, but the water was mild (sorry not sure of actual temp). Super clear water (norm for quarry) and there was a slight breeze.

started off throwing grubs and caught a few tiny lil guys. Just something to keep me busy. Tried a bunch of diff colors and retrieves to see what they would hit. They ended up liking the green colored grubs with diff flake and fast/jerk retrieves the best. Also tried spoons, spinners, etc.

Finally, I brought out the tiny lil crank. They liked that! Had a ton of hits from small to really good, but only three came to shore.

It's pretty funny because the first two were just about as big as the damn lure!!! haha

Last one was at least a fun fight on ultra light gear, but it waited til the very last minute when I was almost ready to leave. It was dark and barely any light left. Also, really close to shore. Probably 1 -2' of shore left.

Well, all in good fun and two hours well spent!

Rainbow or Horseshoe?

I've only had luck at rainbow but I've seen some hogs at horseshoe
