I HAVE NEVER HAD THE THE PLEASURE OF CATCHING A STEELHEAD, BUT YOU ARE DEFINITELY CORRECT ON THAT FISH IT A GREAT LOOKING FISH, I REALLY ENJOY READING THE POST ON SJB, THIS IS A GREAT SITE, LOTS OF GOOD PEOPLE POSTING GREAT INFO. READING OTHER FISHERMANS ADVENTURES GIVES ME THE DESIRE TO TRY OTHER TYPES OF FISHING. I HAVE A FLYFISHING SETUP BUT I HAVEN'T REALLY USED IT BUT A COUPLE TIMES. KEEP POSTING FOR THOSE OF US THAT WANT TO GET OUT THERE BUT CAN'T FOR ONE REASON OR ANOTHER.

Re: Prettiest fish I've ever caught. Thanks guys. Unfortunately I have to leave this area and go back to school in San Jose. So that was my last fish for this season. It's been so much fun here. I'm ready for bigger/meaner fish haha. Yeah it was a hatchery fish and I kept it. Tried steelhead meat for the first time. I liked it; it tasted like salmon but it had its own flavor. We squeezed lemon on it and put blackened seasoning on top and then coated it with bread crumbs. After, we baked it at 500 for 9 minutes. OH IT WAS SOOOO GOOD.
