 Pontoon fishing in the rain
Hey I dont know if poeple know this but I found out the hard way. I went out to Calero on Sunday and when I went it was a little misty and I pulled into the ranger area and the lady told me that there was no boating access today. I asked her why and she said at all the local lakes the rule is if it is raining or sprinkling out they will not do a mussel check because your toon is wet!!!! This is BS so I thought I would throw it our there and see if you guys new about this. So any rain forget the TOON!!!

Re: Pontoon fishing in the rain
Yes we knew about it
PARK ALERT MESSAGE For: 12/24/2008 - 12/26/2008 The policy for wet weather is that only banded boats may launch. If the boat arrives wet (even if caused by the rain) and is not banded, it may not launch. There will be no exceptions. We strongly encourage people to get their boat inspected and banded prior to wet weather.
But what if its in the car/back of the truck under cover and dry?? was yours?

It was in the back of my truck but not covered. Will it work if I would have wrapped a tarp around it?

Re: Pontoon fishing in the rain
They now offer a annual pass for inspections. Its 35 bucks and good for a year. Great for the tubers or guys who fish other places also.

Re: Pontoon fishing in the rain
I thought if you get inspected and have the tag on your boat or toon or what ever it is you dont have to get inspected again?
