MLK Day today, so no school. Checked the tides yesterday had a 3:00pm low tide and 20% chance of percipitation, but unfortunately swells at about 8 feet. Went out today despite the weather only because of the low tide time. Went poke-poling for rockfish or monkeyface eels. Got nothing, but the guy about 100ft down from me got a monkeyface on squid, same bait i used. threw for perch but no luck, and then was gonna harvest some mussels but the PSP possible problem with the shellfish stopped me, even though its 99% safe between november 1 - april 30. next time i hope for better luck. but hey, our san jose sharks won today, and thats 2 in a row!
