 Pacifica Pier
My friends and I will head to Pacifica Pier tomorrow morning crabbing and fishing. Has anyone been there lately? How's the condition? What kinds of bait are good for the fish there? I wish my continuous skunk record will be stopped tomorrow. XD Thanks if there's any input.

 Re: Pacifica Pier
I went out to Pacifica for crabbing about 3 weeks ago. Great weather, but the crabs just weren't there that day. Give us a report when you get back, let me know how the crabbing goes.

 Re: Pacifica Pier
Fished from 7:30 to 1:30pm We lost our net at first cast. It was tangled with other ghost crab nets under pier. I saw few people used snares and pulled some crabs at the end of "L" shape well. Rests were slow. Bought some pile worms suggested by the guy in the bait shop and caught one handful sized perch and two baby sanddabs and released them all. My friend hooked one Dungeness with luck in OK size but it's still not a keeper. Not many people fish there the waves are huge and current is strong. Overall it's slow. The bait shop owner said yesterday crabbing was good.
BTW, a DFG staff had a detailed inspection while we're leaving. Please be ware of the size of your crabs. The limit size of the keepers is 5 3/4 inches.
Good luck.
