California would get 2nd place (great job guys) a fellow froend from Oregeon (Colby Pearson) would win it with 14 lbs. Nearly double the wight of 2nd place. Im proud to say that at least Manuel and Chris Fenk beat Arizona who had a home field advantage

What about their Parents and family. Don't you think they should fund it? I mean , what the hell. I worked my ass off for Every lure and tackle i got at 13-17 years old. But I guess these kids are Special and can't ask mommy to pay for all the reel and pole replacements they Do sell on this forum. Think people.

Re: **OFFICIAL** We Need Your Support High School Championsh
Hello...Not trying to bash you or anything. Just informing you that I have met and fished with David and Manuel Munoz aka Dmun. David is a supporting father who has purchased a bass boat so he can fish with and teach his son, Dmun. He recently upgraded to a nice ranger boat, which is getting repairs to the trailer after this past trip...a costly misfortune...not to mention how much he has already invested into it. They simply asked this club for a little help...understandably! Dmun is a humble and respectful young man and is worthy of any help he can get. I never heard him begging for anything, just thanks for all our efforts! He was the first person on this site, to ever give me a bait, with no questions asked, when I was not getting bites and he was. David stopped fishing and motored over to our boat, to hand me it too. Those are giving people...who deserve kindness back. Not a verbal bashing or sarcasm! So to hint that David (Parents) should be doing more, is out of line, and one might know the facts better before speaking! The only thing "special" about these kids, is their drive to compete in something healthy, learning teamwork, sportsmanship, and conservation, rather than spraying graffiti and causing mischief out on the streets. Please don't be so rash to judge! Dwell Well!

Re: **OFFICIAL** We Need Your Support High School Championsh
Not taking sides, but I see where both sides are coming from. I suppose Jigster did come off a little harsh in his comment, but I get what he's saying. I myself really never had anything handed to me growing up so that meant I had to work hard for my money in order to buy things and thats the way its always been. I guess thats where Jigster is coming from and I get that, but at the same time, that doesn't mean Manuel and Chris did not deserve a helping hand when needed. I don't know Manuel and his family at all yet I helped them out because I thought it's cool they had the opportunity like this for the youth and would be a shame if they couldn't make it due to lack of funding. All in all, I suppose Jigster could have worded things a little better, but I think he means well...hopefully. Now can't we all just get along??

Re: **OFFICIAL** We Need Your Support High School Championsh
San Jose Bass will ALWAYS condone helping other Anglers in need....
A respected member of this forum (TheGrayElephant) reached out to his fellow SJB members for some financial assistance - what's wrong with that? Being that he was willing to take the time out of his own personal work/life to tow a boat with his truck to Arizona for a fishing tournament that he wasn't competing in speaks volumes about his character. Based on his willingness to go out of his way to help out these High-School kids, who are also contributing members here on SJB, I didn't think for one second to question his motives, or whether or not their parents were helping out.
If you've never had anything "handed down" to you then I'm sorry to hear that. I'm sure it's a not a good feeling.
And speaking of feelings.....If you have ever gone out of your way to help someone out, or help someone get to where they need to be (physically and/or mentally), then you've likely experienced one of the best feelings on the planet. It's 100X's more fulfilling than having something "handed down" to you, trust me.
Peace. And Happy Holidays.
