 Re: OAkridge Pond Fishing!
dont listen to andrew....hahaha jk... but ya i think a spinnerbait would be good if it was a little cloudy and windy... then those would be perfect conditions.... other than that drop shots and jigs should produce some good numbers hope that helps, nick

 Re: OAkridge Pond Fishing!
well hooked up on my third cast using a texas rigged worm. Fish was maybe 2lbs and I lost it on the 2nd jump. Other than that nothing else for the 2 hours we were out there. I did get to see one of those damn birds catch a 2-3lbs bass and swollow it whole in about 3 sec!

 Re: OAkridge Pond Fishing!
I went out yesterday. I caught one about 2.5 to 3lbs on a split shot roboworm. Its seems like the slower you fish the more likely you'll get a bit.

 Re: OAkridge Pond Fishing!
i've used the drop shot rig the last few times and hit fish every time....
The bites only came when i stopped moving the bait.
I drag the weight...come to a stop......but holding the line tight never giving it slack.....wait a little bit ...15 20 seconds....then twitch it twice.....then drag again..and repeat.....both bites came on the pausing period for me......so give that a shot if you drop shot at all.....the drag is short...so everything in that process needs to be done slow...
good luck..i might see you there if i don't go to almaden lake....

 Re: OAkridge Pond Fishing!
I was using this same lure as in this picture from a few weeks ago... old fish same lure.. nice slow retrieve, mixed with the two tug and pause technique... It has a rattle and floats up when not being reeled in., dives deep when reeling. It was fat. At least 3lbs IMO but i need to get a scale.. He was way fatter next to my foot.. made my foot look small.. pics yesterday were taken from my iphone as i left my camera in my car in Sacramento at the shop..
