 Re: OAkridge Pond Fishing!
First ever Largemouth with a jig with a reaction innovation as a trailer. Second cast around the tully and she picked it up, then she let go..after a few more pops she picked it up again. As you can tell i waited too long to set the hook because she eswallowed that jig. The hook was removed safely without unjuries and she was relased back to spawn.

 Re: OAkridge Pond Fishing!
are all these fish from the ponds under 85? some of those pics dont look like those lakes (alamitos) and look more like the almaden perks or something closer to almaden lake.
I was out there today, fished the ponds at Sanchez first, got one 2-11oz on a roboworm dropshot in the pond corner (forgot my cam). Got bites on the opposite corner but they were small, probably bluegill bites.
Then I went over to the bigger lake where alot of the pics on this thread are from...no bites but I was only there for about 30 mins. saw one other guy fishing the point but i had to run so not sure if he's on here.
Oh, and thanks NoNrg for the location of the hole in the fence. I hate looking like a tool walking down blossom hill or winfield with fishing gear while everyone else has a bag from Nordstom! And if you all dont know this, under the bridge on sanchez, next to the homeless camp, nice big hole in the fence too.

 Re: OAkridge Pond Fishing!
hey ender im sure the topwater bite is good there the only thinng is that its not really the time of year to use topwater... wait till fish move up on their beds or wait till early summer morning then im sure topwater there will be deadly

 Re: OAkridge Pond Fishing!
hey iaconelli , i dont catch fish alll year with top water... winter time those bass are pretty lethargic and im pretty sure they dont want to go up and chase a topwater bait.... same with alot of other times of the year those bass are not always willing to have to chase a topwater bait they would just be looking for a much easier meal then having to chase your fast moving topwater lure.... im not saying it wont work in the winter time or anything im just saying its a small possibility.... nick

 Re: OAkridge Pond Fishing!
right now jigs are working good at oakride because this lake has an abundnce of crawfish and those prespawn females are stocking up for sppawn... right now is the time to go fishing before it starts raining again... and theres a big chance that you will catch a huge prespawn female ful of eggs....
