Yea Same here, never pulled anything from those ponds but they're so close and when my son beggs for some weeknight fishing it can't be passed up. Had more luck in the ponds across the street from Almaden Lake but the weeds are freaking insane right now.

try frogs or even a weightless t rigged senko across those mats. take two rods and punch a senko or crawfish bait where you get missed strikes or see holes in the mats

Yea tried that but my gear is really light so pulling in fish w/weeds is not going to fly. Had a hell of a time with a dink that dove into the weeds. Still had fun though. We'll see if Lexington provides a little more luck this weekend.
