If I remember right, that is where they have the kids catfishing for some event every year...gets stocked. You should find catfish, bluegill, and bass in there.

There are no fish in Newark lake [8:)

To be honest its a tough lake to fish bass wise, hit and miss like all the other pressured little lakes. But catfish are a good bet, along with some big carp.

Hope this helps, I'm there quite abit since its my local lake, say hi if ya see me out on the water I'm usually wearing a sun faded EBRPD hat lol

Trout do go pretty quick, with people catching them the first week and then not enough oxygen in the water, its usually very dirty. As for the front spot by the dock, great spot for cats. As for bass, all different depending on time of year. Very shallow lake though, no deeper than 8-10.

Newark lake is also my local lake but seldom go. It's really hit or miss as stated.
I have seen quite a few cats brought out from a little holenext to the bridge that takes to the island. Have also seen 10-20lb carp come outta there.

Never seen trout (although I know they stock it) and or bass but it does look good for them. I've tried a couple times without luck.

I'd much rather go down the street to Quarry Lakes. Much more productive!

Good luck and post pics if you get lucky!!

There isn't one area that out produces another that I have found. I grew up fishing this lake, been doing so for 7 years now. Caught a ton of fish in those years, but nothing serious recently. Really slowed down in years past...last bass I caught here was about a year ago. I have found other local spots that produce so most of my time is scattered.
