Nice video Nic! Did they add the blue stuff to the main pond as well? Looks like it in the video.... I heard that the blue stuff kills off the weeds, but I figured I'd ask you since you fish it quite often.

I talked with a park ranger at another pond, and the coloring is due to the chemicals that they put in to keep the weeds from getting too bad. I know just a few months ago the water district had a bunch of weeds, and has since been pretty clear...

i honestly think the weed controling stuff doesnt work because no matter what i always see weeds.. then again it probably just kills it a little bit then the weeds rapidly gro back because the mats are now starting to come back

I'm sure that's accurate. I haven't gotten any topwater hits behind the water district though. I just got back from the water district and I got 1 dink and a 2-2.5lber on wacky soft worms.

I guess I can keep trying for my top water action.

naw i wouldnt even bother with the topwater bite the frog bite there is dead.if you want to produce fish there throw senkos and flickshakes in the day and cranks and spinnerbaits in the morning
