SS Jerbs II

Named it after that little f**ker's boat since I out fished him in it so many times. Caught my first 10 off of his stupid little canoe.

Nice boat. What type of motor do you plan on using for it? (my 1965 Evinrude is still at the shop being worked on).

Yes I will be! Hey quick question for everyone out there. I was wondering if there is any issues of the type of motor I buy meaning a 4 stroke or a 2 stroke. Do any of our local lakes ban 2 strokes? If anyone knows this info please let me know before I go out and buy a motor. Thanks

Based on fairly reliable information, Lake Tahoe is the only one banning 2 stroke motors. You might notice though on the new boats purchasing info it says the 2 stroke is not available for California.
Someone want to explain it all? I'm curious too. I just spent 300 plus on my old one so I hope they don't ban them.
I'm guessing you can still be ok with one for a few years or many, however, CA. is a ridiculous EPA air quality misguided nightmare in my opinion.
Make sure to have the motor tested for compression and it's a good idea to have the impeller/water pump changed to a new one.
Grats on your new boat. I'll see you out there on lake when mine gets finished in a month or two.
I've never owned a boat before so it will be an interesting experience. I just pray I don't ruin the dock or forget the drain plug. :)

Looks like you have a great setup from looks of it. My boat and trailer are old and missing things. it's costing me alot but I'll get her going soon.
