 Moss Landing Salmon 07-09-11
Hey guys, Went out on a friends boat over the weekend. Lanched out of Moss Landing. Fished the Phone Booth for a few hours......Nothing but Jellys! Moved over to Mulligans. Thats when the action picked up!!! There was a lot of bait EVERYWHERE! All kinds of whales too! Great show! We were catching Salmon anywhere from 110' to 220'. All fish were caught on Purple Haze Hoochies. Total of 7 fish. 2 of witch were Keepers!!! A few drive-bys and a few missed fished. All in all a GREAT day on the water! Good times! Here are a few pics of our keepers. Tight lines,
GS

 Re: Moss Landing Salmon 07-09-11
NorCalKat, Its all depends on where the bait is. In this case we were seeing a lot of bait at the depths I've mentioned. And thats where the fish were. I've caught fish as shallow a 20' of water and as deep as 300' + of water. Its all dependent on where the bait is. If you ever get a chance to go out for Salmon.....DO IT! Tons of fun once you get on the fish!!! Look for birds, whales and charter boats...usually a good sign of bait which usually means there are fish near-by.
