Heading out solo as of now. Anyone want to roll out or meet up, let me know. Leaving early, probably around 4:30 for sunup and high tide at 10am, be back around 1pm or 3pm...that's how I do. Perch and stripers.

How'd you do out there? I was tempted to go but I messed up my back Friday..

Got out there at 7am. 3 hours before high tide. Had a perch rod and a striper rod. Took my pops and tied him up a perch rod. Went to Zmudowski, I like that beach. No stripers and my dad caught two perch. I caught one little perch after giving up on the stripers. There was a Dad and son combo out there that had caught a 16lb striper 20 minutes before we got there.

Packed up and moved to Sand Dollar, nothing, went back to Palm Beach and stuck with trying to get some perch. Got a few tiny bites and then BAM! A huge Barred Perch slammed my grubbie grub at around 1pm. It was a monster! I was using an 8 ft steelhead rod and that fish was running and everything. Very awesome. I used to think, "Why do people fish for perch in the surf?"....I like it man. Really fun. I don't know how much it weighed but it was definitly over 2 pounds. Had big ass teeth too. Caught and released.

That fish was caught at Palm Beach. Some guy at Zmudowski told my dad that Palm Beach holds big perch so after trying Sand Dollar, I decided to give it a go.

I'd have to say that I like Zmudowski out of all of the beaches I have been to so far. Not too many people.

Marce had to go to a wedding so he couldn't make it.
