Anybody have a list of the local ones? I would like to get into one, just want to make sure its a good fit. Not looking for a "clean and sober one with religious draws" or a one that requires Jager bombs...Just some folks that love bass fishing and don't take themselves to seriously. I'm 29 and have been bass fishing since I was little. Grew up in TN and FL fishing lakes, ponds & rivers and been out here (in Santa Cruz) for ~5 years.

Haha, that's what I am hoping for. Trying to get motivated to go fishing more for the Fall and Winter season. Matt and I will be on the Hook tourney this year. I am hoping this will get me hyped on more tourney fishing.

I upgraded the Turd site a few days ago, so hopefully, I'll update it more than two times a year.

I wish my buddies would do something like the bassturdz! they are losers though and I can't even convince them to fish...not even with the bribe of bringing homebrew. You guys got some sick footage on the turdz site and alot of nice PB's. Mine is about 7lbs and that was when I was like 12 in disco.

I have been thinking about clubs a little but the ones I have found all seem to be a bunch of old guys...it might just be that fishing isn't very cool...not sure.

If anyone is involved in any in the East Bay or in between east and south, let me know.

I am not so good at socializing in 'formal' meeting groups. My thoughts would be to either try to start a bass group or test one of those out that Marone suggested. There are more out there and also I bet if you ask on other local fishing forums you'll find one. SJB is great but not the only resource out there for this area.
You might be surprised if you have the time to start a new one and dedicate yourself to it. It doesn't have to be world renowned or sponsored. It's a good way to meet friends and establish a good bunch of people.
