 Jan on Lexington
Overall i have been fishing the deepest water possible and have been getting a fish here and a fish there, jigs and drop shot for the most part, each time go out. Has it been this slow for anyone else?

I haven't caught any fish. But man, last week I saw 3 large dead bass near the shore.

 Re: Jan on Lexington
It is low and clear, which makes for tough fishing on Lex. A few days of solid rain and those little cuts will flood the lake. Murkier water= warmer water and more active fish at Lex.
I've got them at deep as 40 off the shore this time of year. Even off the shore, they sometimes get barotrauma. Those fish that died were either from mishandling or barotrauma.

I fished Uvas Saturday and Sandy Wool on Sunday and did not catch a thing and did not see anyone else catch any all day. I think it is just slow everywhere.
Uvas is super muddy water right now.

 Re: Jan on Lexington
Just caught this guy today, four bites total. Missed two, landed this one and a dink. He felt like an easy three pounder, maybe more. The body on this fish is so fat he looks like a smallmouth!

 Re: Jan on Lexington
Yes sir, jig it is. He inhaled it too, no nibble nibble nibble stuff for that fish. It was just a thump an SLAM he started to run. Thank you, i was really stoked, and still am from catching that guy!
