good job tamster. hey, when exactly is the season considered over? i really need to go find a premade snare trap rig and try it out. Is Pacifica pier your usual spot for dungies??

Theirs a guy on craigslist selling crab snares for 5 bucks each.. On saturday I was catching crabs in the 7inch range. It's nice to set your rod and have it bend real quick for a big crab!!

yea...good looking out tamster...I found some on craigslist really close by. At first we were looking at the one on cabela's website, but it got horrible reviews as the snares are too sniff and won't tighten well. in any case, looks like I better get out there and catch some crabs before its too late.

Went out crabbing with tamster and bangbang yesterday (Sunday) morning. Crabbed with snares from 5 am to about 1 and caught a total of 6 keepers between us out of maybe 50 or so crabs. Lots of 5.25 and 5.5 inches just shy of the 5.75 magic number.

Had lots of fun on a beautiful day.

One crazy thing that happened: we got swarmed by like 50000000 bees! We were way out at the end of the pier and all these honey bees came out of nowhere. They were everywhere! We had to book it off the pier for about 15 minutes so they would settle down. And settle down they did: right on the end of the pier. This one older crabber dude got caught right in the corner of the pier when the swarm came and couldn't get out. It was pretty crazy

yep, it was a great day out there...quite an experience crab fishing for the first time. we should go again soon...like this weekend guys...haha.

bang and i will probably head out there either saturday morning or afternoon if anyone's down.

can't promise a limit of keepers but it's fun, you'll catch crabs, and there's some interesting characters out on the pier.

hahahahah....yea, theres definitely some interesting characters out there FOR SURE. theres some normal guys, but then theres some crazy ones walking around with a knife in their hand talking to themselves...LOL was it just me or does it seem like some of those regulars don't seem that friendly? haha, F them...time to box em out Dan.

LOL there was some high school kid out there w/ his dad trying to swing at pigeons with a folding knife, then talking about how fascinating fire is... hahahha

I thought someone was going to get stab that day for sure.. Someone kept on casting over peoples lines!! Lol. It was a great day. Can't wait for next season!!!!!!!

LOL...I thought the same thing...Dan was starting look like a potential stab victim that day crossing over everyones lines. Habitual line crossing is dangerous.

Even though we didn't catch limits, it definitely was a great day with the perfect weather we had that day. And I'm definitely looking forward to next season too!

Dan...next time we go...i'll swoop in on their spot and box them out...just remind me to take that rambo knife with me though...haha.
