Post Dumbarton Pier 11-5/6-11
P

Hello everyone, new member here.

Went fishing on the Dumbarton Pier this past Saturday and Sunday, I caught a 24" striper on Saturday (Yaaaay!) and a lot of other people were catching a lot of perch and a few leopards.

Sunday I caught/released a 16" leopard shark, while many other people continued to catch perch and a few sharks. Saw some lucky guy leaving with a large sturgeon. Both days I was about midway down the pier using sardines.

Was an overall great weekend for me and the family. I used to fish here many years ago and don't remember it being this good.

Not sure what they were using, but I did see a couple of the guys searching the rocks at low tide (barnacles, clams?).

They were catching them everywhere from the very start of the pier down to about 3/4 of the way to the end.

I'll be out there again probably this Sunday, rain or shine.

That's a possibility Rob, my son caught a couple of perch there a few weeks back on night crawlers.

Went out yesterday (11-12), got skunked. The perch fishermen are still doing well.

Going again Monday, if all goes as planned, will give you another update.

Almost went today but decided to go to Santa Cruz wharf with the fam instead. Caught a cpl baby halibuts, a cpl small crabs and a starfish.

Not a great fishing day but it was well spent with the kids and wife!
