Post Colmen ponds question?
Hi all
On the "damns" between ponds there are locked gates, yet I see people crossing them, What's the deal with these gates, can you fish the whole pond?
Thanks

Sorry but not true. I was actually stopped by a ranger, the same one that stopped me at Lexington two days before, and I was on the other side of the gates, and he checked my fishing license and asked if I caught any yet. And then told me to have a good day. I think it depends on the ranger, but of you tea the signs they don't say " No Fishing". I go there all the time and if you go all the way to the end you can go on the other side w/o crossing the gate. You can just say you walked all the way around. [0-]

Humm, well I was there last Friday after work & saw others fishing beyond the fence, I think I'll stay on the trail side for now though, Because I'll get the grumpy ranger who is having a bad day! I would say that fences usally mean stay out.
Thanks for the info guys.

Read the sign next time u go.
The Only bummer is the place is dead now. I've killed it over the past few months.
Got 15 my first day there. Up to 3#.
But have only got one 2#'er my last few trips. That water changes temp really fast.

I have seen no signes, I see were there where signes at one time.
I know it's dead this time of year but they are close enough to work that I can "decompress" for an hour or so before I go home..
