Nice bass have been caught off the public piers...Winter is definately not the time I would suggest. Look on the maps for state and county parks/launch ramps on the lake..their shore line and piers are open. Most of the shoreline is private property(someone's yard), but fishable shoreline can be sought out from a google maps study period. Look for public places and open places on shore near the hwy.
Of course the best fishing is by watercraft on this lake, but don't let this discourage you! Go with a whacky rig senko on a light weight shakeyhead hook. This is in advance..."shut up Mike"
