haha, that made me laugh. This time of year the fish tend to move in to open water and suspend, chasing baitfish to the surface. The smaller guys are the ones that tend to hang around the banks. When i lived in San Diego this is the time of year we would hit the topwater in the early morning, then move to open water and troll leadcore at about 20 feet deep with rapalas and pick up a lot of good fish. Not sure if the same techniques would work here or not but i would think it would. Too bad i am limited to shore fishing up here with no boat
