 Calero inspection
Takin the new boat out to calero tomorrow. Wondering what i need to do to make sure i pass the vessel inspection. Ive taken our ski boat out to anderson last year and the inspection is why i dont boat santa clara county anymore, we passed but it sucked to say the least. But i figure once i get banded the fishing boat wont leave those waters as often so iim getting her ready today. Any advice would be great,
Thanks, -Jeff

 Re: Calero inspection
Before you go to Calero, it is closed Mon-Tue every week.. Anderson open but closed Wed-Thur.. No water whet so ever, if it is raining don't go. Tilt you motor up and down a couple times, they will make you trim it down. Pull your plug and tilt your boat as far back as possible. Bring a towel with you, stop half way and check livewell, plug .. ect..

 Re: Calero inspection
Jeff get all that water out of the live well and dry it with a towel like Set good said ... Most of the water should be gone from the bottom of the boat but just in case tip it up like he said too... They will likely only look in the live well real quick and the back area by the batteries and fuel tanks... its a pretty quick check over but ya gotta get it dry. Mike

 Re: Calero inspection
Thanks guys did they look at the carpet and see how damp it is? I took her out to pinto lake in watsonville today and the inspection there is brutal. Passed and had a blast on the water, rough day for fishing but a great time on the new boat!

 Re: Calero inspection
I've been inspected a few times at Calero. It's never bad. Tilt the motor down, look inside the compartments and run the bilge pump. I drive up with the drain plug out and pull over before I go up the hill and wipe down the main areas again. Never had a problem.
