well we launched at 815 and headed across to the wall across and threw everything with no luck. They we met stealthin and the three of us headed around the corner to the island and he picked up a nice bass on a black and blue jig. Then we saw these two guys in a boat right in the middle buoy pick one up on a green carolina rigged worm but that was it. I dont know how stealthin finished up but it was nice to meet another member.

jburkhart81, it ended up as a great day. Nice to meet you and Greg, I believe. I'm not sure of his screenname.

I started at 10ish and ended up with four bass. First at 11:30 a 2 1/2, second at 12:30 at 2 3/4, then from 3:30-3:45 caught a 7 and a 5 3/4. The weather was beautiful but the water is still cold at 49-52 degrees.

Got done with a meeting a little early today so I headed out to Calero about noon. Fished from the bank for about an hour with no luck. By chance, ran in to Officer Layne so I climbed on his boat and we fished 17-25 ft in the creek channel in Oak Cove for another hour or so before we both had to hit the road. No fish for either of us, though he did have a smallish fish on for a few seconds. The fish took a watermelon yamamoto spider grub, texas rigged.

For those of you who know officer Layne, I today learned that he is officially retired from the force. Lots more fishing in the future for that guy, no doubt. 8-)
