Chesbro Reservoir

After dropping my son off at pre-school today I decided to take a drive out to Chesbro Dam to se just how low it was. I’ve been keeping an eye on the Santa Clara Valley Water District Reservoir and Rainfall Status Report and as of the last report issued Chesbro was listed at only 4.8% capacity. We’ve had very little rainfall this year and some of our local reservoirs are hurting. To help put things into perpective as of 10/15/07 Chesbro has less water than Vasona Park. SJBTS 3. Step Up.

Alright gentlemen, time for round 3.  The next San Jose Bass Turkey Shoot will take place at Coyote Reservoir on October 21, 2007.  Sunrise is getting later as we progress into Fall, so launch time will be 7:00am for this event.  Pushing launch back 30 mins might also allow Jr. to show up on time, since we all know how he needs his beauty sleep!  Hope to see you all out there.

Personal, non motorized crafts only (Tubes, Pontoons, Kayaks)
$15 Entry, + $5 Big Fish option
100% payout
Awards given to 1st, 2nd, and Big Fish
Payouts TBD at Check In, based on number of participants
3 Fish Bag Limit
Black Bass only
13″ minimum length
Artificial lures only
Only one line in water at a time
1lb deduction per dead fish at Weigh In
.5lb deduction for each minute late to Weigh In
DQ at 15 mins late to Weigh In

This event is not sanctioned by any body or entity.  Participation is voluntary and participants agree to fish at their own risk.  Any food or drink you bring must be shared with the rest of the class.
